Shakira Represents Non--Profit at Ibero-American Summit

Shakira is very famous not only for her music, also for doing charity in her city and also promoting the importance of the education for the children around the world. Here we can know not only the multimillionar artist, we can also meet the human side of this singer. It is good to know that some artists, like Shakira, are bringing their finances to eradicate illiteracy because they really care about the future of these abandoned children living on the streets and poverty that is affecting latinoamerica.

Freedom of expression

"Were it left to me to decide whether to have government without newspapers, or newspapers without government, I should not hesitate to prefer the latter."
-Thomas Jefferson-
I think that with this quote we can talk about the freedom of the journalist that have to write or to publicate some article, notice or informaton in the newspaper. Most of the newspapers have to private at the moment to expose some information to their readers, because sometimes this information talks about the government and some mistakes that this institution is doing and that could affect the coutry. And we know that this is the way that a trully jorunalist should act, exposing the true, all the information found and verified. However, this is not well seen by the government or certain agents, because it is revealing some act of corruption or making someone look bad in public. That`s why most of the journalist are punished or demmanded for not obeying and only do, and expose what the government says.

The word LIBERAL!

The word liberal is an adjective that derives from the word liberality. Also starting from this term is that was founded the Radical Liberal Party of Ecuador. The party emerged from the divisions between moderates and radical liberals in the Liberal Party of Ecuador. As in many Latin American countries, Ecuador has experienced much conflict, often violent, between the Liberal and Conservative. Eloy Alfaro brought the Liberal Party to power during the revolution, but today no longer avoids the party has spoken of neoliberals, because when we talk about the word liberal means that each individual is in total freedom of thought, expression, association, press, etc.., whose only limit is the freedom of others, and must provide a guarantee against government intrusion in the lives of individuals, freedom that exists within our nation. Likewise, there is talk of a principle of equality among individuals, understood in regard to various legal and political fields. That is, for liberalism, all citizens are equal before the law and to the state or the right to private property as a development and individual initiative, and as unalterable law that must be safeguarded and protected by law. But like any nation, there are establishments of civil codes, constitutions, and institutions based on division of powers (executive, legislative and judiciary) and the discussion and solution of problems through assemblies and parliaments. Then by using the word liberal in this context is not using in its entirety meaning because there is no a totally freedom for the reason that exist some control system like the government, which decides whether or not to release such citizenship.

Summer 09

The last summer i had the opportunity to participate in the work and travel experience... My destination was Alaska, I went there for work at the Alyeska Resort. Everything was amazing; the people, the landscapes, the climate, all. I met wonderful people for around the world for example Vietnam or Poland. All the people was very nice, the most important of this was that most of the employyees were J1 students like me. I travel all aroun Alaska knowing Anchorage, the biggest city, Girdwood, where I used to live, Hope, a small town, Seward, where the port was. I saw polar bears, mooses, black and brown bears, otters, dolphins, penguins, etc. Iwas very impresed about the differents sunsets that i could see over there and definitely was thw best experience at my life.

I studied in America´s High school until the third course and the lasts years I was in Isaac Newton´s high school. When I was a little girl I used to be part of the dance team in the Camera Nacional of the culture minister. When I was 18 years old I started to study German and I had the opportunity to travel to Berlin for 3 months to practice the language and know more about the culture. To my return I decided to restart my dance lessons but know I try with a different rhythm, this time I chose hip-hop at the Latin Dance center, there I had a group of 11 girls of my age, we participated two times in the CIAD, an interamerican championship of dance, luckily we won two times the gold medal in representation of our country. Then I stop practicing my passion (dancing), because I entered to study Social Communication in the SEK International University. Now I am in the third year and i´m thinking in continue practicing hip-hop like a hobby.
